What to look for when choosing a Realtor — and why it matters.

Whether you’re buying or selling, choosing the right real estate agent is an important decision. The right agent is someone you feel comfortable working with and confident in trusting—someone who listens carefully, asks good questions, and provides the information you need to make wise decisions.

A good agent doesn’t rush the process or push an agenda. Instead, they take the time to understand your goals, answer your questions clearly, and guide you through each decision with care. They should have the experience, tools, and resources needed to do the job well, while also treating you with respect and genuine concern.

The right agent is also someone who knows the area they serve. I’ve lived in Lapeer since 2003 and am very familiar with Lapeer County and the counties that surround it. Because local knowledge matters, I focus my work within about an hour’s drive of Lapeer so I can provide the level of service and attention my clients deserve.
